These paintings are part of a series of collaborative efforts using lamp-black, (smoke from a flame), fused to a wet ground in a manner reminiscent of fresco. 

The themes of air, light and movement combine with the physical and performative aspects of the medium, in which the process is synonymous with the imagery.
